Ingrid Jordt (PhD, Harvard University; BA, University of California-Berkeley) is Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Her research interests include processes of political legitimation, lay/monastic relations in Buddhist Burma, Buddhist meditation movements in Southeast Asia, ethnographic methods, and social theory. Ingrid has conducted research in Burma since 1988.
